When Joyce and Ed Doty were unpacking this sculpture “Journey”, I noticed that it produced a rich tone when bumped. Once it was installed in its location down by the Bird Walk, Joyce was kind and trusting enough to let me bong it with a rubber mallet and record the sounds. I then took it to the studio and composed a piece of music using these sounds. Enjoy!
